Potter's House Ministry, at [ministry postal address], is responsible for the information you give Potter’s House Academy. If you have any question about it, write to hello@pottershouseacademy.org and a person will answer you.

When you apply— your name, email address, phone number, where you live, your date of birth, and anything you choose to tell us about your walk with God. We use these to decide on your application and to contact you about it.

We ask for your date of birth for one reason: the programme is open to those aged 18 and over, and we check rather than assume.

While you are studying — which sessions you have watched, listened to or read, how far through you are, what you submit, and whether you attended live sessions. This is how your chaperone knows when you are flourishing and when you might need a word of encouragement.

When you write to us— messages between you and your chaperone, posts in discussion forums, and enquiries you send before enrolling.

Your chaperone sees your progress and your messages with them. They cannot see anyone outside their own group.

Ministry administrators can see enrolment records and progress across the programme, in order to run it.

Other disciplessee only what you choose to share — a forum post, or a badge if you turn that on. They never see your progress, your contact details or your messages.

If you post in a forum anonymously, your name is hidden from other disciples but remains visible to your chaperone and to administrators. We say so plainly because you deserve to know before you write something difficult.

Things you tell your chaperone in confidence, and anything you share anonymously, are pastoral matters. They are not passed around the ministry, not used to make decisions about you outside your discipleship, and not shared beyond Potter’s House — unless someone is at risk of serious harm, or the law requires it of us.

Your records are held in a secure database hosted in Ireland. Teaching audio is stored with Cloudflare, and teaching videos are unlisted on YouTube. Emails to you are sent through Resend. Each of these providers handles the information only to provide that service to us.

Because we serve disciples in many countries, your information may be handled outside Nigeria. We only use providers who protect it to a comparable standard.

Your records are kept for 24 months after your last activity, so that you can return to a programme, ask for a certificate, or pick up where you left off. After that they are deleted. You can ask us to delete them sooner.

You can ask to see everything we hold about you, to correct anything wrong, to have it deleted, or to withdraw your consent and leave the programme. Write to hello@pottershouseacademy.org and we will respond within 30 days. There is no charge, and asking will never count against you.

These rights are yours under the Nigeria Data Protection Act, and under the UK and EU GDPR if you live there.

We use cookies for one purpose only: to keep you signed in. There is no advertising, no tracking, and nothing is shared with anyone for marketing.

Tell us first — we would rather hear from you and put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, or to your local data protection authority if you live outside Nigeria.
